Aurora Borealis 2025 Seattle. Aurora can often be observed somewhere on earth from just after sunset or just before sunrise. Weather permitting, highly active auroral displays will be visible overhead from utqiaġvik to bethel, dillingham and ketchikan, and visible low on the horizon from king salmon.
The aurora does not need to be directly overhead but can be observed from as much as a 1000 km away when the aurora is bright and if conditions are right. With a blend of preparation and luck, city dwellers in seattle were able to catch a glimpse of the majestic aurora borealis on july 12 and 13, 2023.
